Internet is giving me a lot of free time because it pays for it.
BTW we are talking on the skype with video, why would phones needs to be different, hah?
I guess it all depends on your definition of “free time”. Is watching TV or reading a magazine considered to be “free time”? What about solving puzzles and looking up information about future travels? All of these things could be done with or without the Internet.
I don’t think technology affects people’s behaviors in a way where lazy people become more occupied, and the hardworking ones start to waste time on nothing. In the end, technology affects the way we do things and probably improves quality and effectiveness of our activities.
And yes, we’ll all be video calling as soon as this technology becomes more affordable, reliable, and ergonomic – so make sure you are out of your pajamas before you pick up that phone
i agree we don’t need video calls on cell phones because we already have it on the internet.
the older you get the less free time you have, regardless of tecnology-)
regarding video calls, bookie is right, it is just inconvenient, one can’t stare at the small screen while going, mobile phone manufacturers have to think about more friendly interface
Rarely associate the Future with the modest technical advances. Only compare them, sometimes, to the old gadgets. And it rarely has something to do with my time management.
